A call waiting tone signals there is a call waiting. Internal call waiting refers to other callers on your phone system trying to alert you that you have another call. Do not confuse this with External Call Waiting from your local telephone company. If you are on the phone and you receive a call waiting signal. You can ignore the call waiting or place your call on hold and take the other call. Of course you can also hang up on the first call. Call Waiting must be activated for Busy Station Signaling to work. |
When you activate OHCA, other users can call you and announce through your speaker that you have another call. You must be using your handset in order for this feature to work. They call you, hear a busy signal, press 1 and can speak to you through your speaker. For more information, go to Busy Station Signaling. Feature is not available on all phones |
When you activate Whisper OHCA, other users can call you and whisper in your ear that you have another call. They cannot hear the person you are talking too. You cannot answer back (If you did, the person you are talking with would hear you). They call you, hear a busy signal, press 1 and can Whisper in your ear.
