How do I set up and use Live Call Screening on my phone system?

KX-TD308/816/1232/500 and KX-TA1232

LCS allows you to listen to callers as they leave messages in your mailbox.

If a caller is leaving a message and you want to talk to the caller, pick up handset or press SP-Phone button or press the LCS button

Making an LCS Button  (You only need to do this step once)
  1. Leave the handset down and the Speakerphone button off
  2. Press PROGRAM 99 (Use PAUSE if you do not have a PROGRAM button)
  3. Press the button you want to use for LCS
  4. Dial 92
  5. Press STORE
  6. Lift the handset and hang up

If you have older software and need an LCS cancel button, step 4 is 93
 
Setting the LCS password (You only need to do this step once)
  1. Press Intercom button
  2. Dial 799
  3. Enter password (password is 000 to 999)
  4. Enter password again
  5. Lift handset and hang up
 Canceling the LCS password:
  1. Press Intercom button
  2. Dial 799
  3. Enter password (password is 000 to 999)
  4. Enter password again
  5. Lift handset and hang up
 
Setting Live Call Screening:  (Feature stays active until you press the LCS button again.  NOTE: If you leave your desk with the feature active, others mat be able to hear your callers leaving a message)

With the handset down and the speakerphone off, press the Live Call Screening button, enter your password (the button light turns on).  Feature is now active and you can hear a caller leaving a message through the speaker. Feature not available while you are on the phone.
 
Canceling Live Call Screening:

With the handset down and the speakerphone off, press the Live Call Screening button (the button light turns off)
 
Conversing with the caller while leaving a live message:

With the handset down and the speakerphone off, press the Live Call Screening button or lift handset or press SP-PHONE
