How do I set up my phone so it rings when I am on a call and another caller is transferred to my phone through the voice mail?  This feature must first be enabled by your system administrator in the voice mail system programming.

KX-TDA, KX-TDE, KX-NCP, KX-TAW848

First you must set call-waiting.  Just press Intercom STAR 7311 POUND

Then you need to forward your phone to voice mail in the No Answer Mode.  To set this you need to enter a code on your phone.  If your voice mail extension is 165, you would press INTERCOM STAR 7104165 POUND. 

Normally 165 or 500 are the extension numbers for voice mail when 3-digit extension numbers are used.  In some companies, or some systems, a different extension number is used. If you have 4-digit extension numbers, the voice mail will be 4-digits.  I you do not know the extension number, see your system administrator or call your dealer.

All Calls:  All calls are forwarded. (FWD All: XXX)

Busy:  All calls are forwarded when your extension is busy.  (FWD Busy: XXX )

No Answer:  All calls are forwarded when not answered within a specified time period. (FWD No Answer: XXX)

Busy/No Answer : All calls are forwarded when you do not answer within a specified time period or when your extension is busy.  (FWD B/NA: XXX

 

KX-TD816, KX-TD1232, KX-TA 1232, KX-TD500

First you must set Call-Waiting:  Just press Intercom 7311 POUND

You also need to set the Tone Type: Press PROGRAM 99, 1, 2, STORE (Use PAUSE if your phone does not have a PROGRAM button) Lift handset, hang up.
