Types of Forwarding Available

 TO CANCEL FORWARDING: Press INTERCOM STAR 7100

Do Not Disturb  (DND)

All callers will hear a busy signal

Forward All

Callers will FORWARD directly to voice mail or extension entered.

Forward Busy

Callers will FORWARD directly to voice mail or extension entered IF the phone is busy.  If the phone is idle, callers FORWARD after a set number of rings.

Forward No Answer

(FWD N/A)

Callers will FORWARD to voice mail or extension entered after a set number of rings if the phone is idle.  Inside callers will hear a busy signal if you are on the phone.  Press 1 to ring through to their phone when you hear the busy (See NOTE below)

Forward Busy or No Answer

(FWD B N/A)

Enter the extension number. Calls will go directly to voice mail if phone not answered or busy.

 

NOTE: When you call an extension and hear a busy signal, you can alert them you are trying to reach them by pressing the 1 button IF they have preset call waiting.  To preset call waiting on a phone press INTERCOM STAR 7311.  From then on callers can press 1 to alert you when you are on the phone and they hear a busy signal.  Remember, they will only hear a busy signal if you have set Forward N/A.  If they had set Forward Busy on extension calls, you would go directly to voice mail when they are on the phone.

 

You can use the codes below to forward to voice mail on any phone.  NOTE: The 165 below is what we use for the voice mail extension.  Yours may be different.  If it is, substitute your voice mail extension for the 165 listed in the codes below.   

 

TRANSFER OFF-SITE: To transfer to another location or your cell phone, use the code below, instead of 165 pound, press 9, the number you want to transfer to and pound.  MUST BE PREVIOUSLY ALLOWED IN SYSTEM PROGRAMMING.           TO CANCEL FORWARDING: Press INTERCOM STAR 7100

Number 4 is the most popular. It forwards to voice mail is the voice mail for both inside and outside calls either if you are on the phone or you do not answer he phone.  Use number 3 if when you are on the phone, you want to know when someone is trying to get through to you either inside or outside.

In this mode, both CO line and extension calls forward to the desired location.  It could be another station or the voice mail system.  If set to Do Not Disturb (DND) all calls will get a busy signal.

In this mode, CO line calls are forwarded to the desired location.  It could be another station or the voice mail system.  If set to Do Not Disturb (DND) all CO line calls will get a busy signal.  Extension calls will follow Program 52 directions

In this mode, extension calls are forwarded to the desired location.  It could be another station or the voice mail system.  If set to Do Not Disturb (DND) all extension calls will get a busy signal.  CO Line calls will follow Program 51 directions
