PERSONAL CUSTOM SERVICE

Personal Custom Service allows you to tailor your mailbox to include six separate options.  You can do one or all six if you want.  When callers hear your greeting they have the option to do more than just leave a message.   Since each mailbox can be customized to fit your needs you will need to include instructions in your greeting.  The options are as follows;

1 TRANSFER TO A SPECIFIC MAILBOX 4 TRANSFER TO CUSTOM SERVICE
2 TRANSFER TO A SPECIFIC EXTENSION 5 VOICE MAIL SERVICE (TRANSFER TO ANY OTHER MAILBOX)
3 TRANSFER TO AN OUTSIDE TELEPHONE NUMBER 6 CALL TRANSFER SERVICE (TRANSFER TO ANY OTHER EXTENSION)

TRANSFER TO A SPECIFIC MAILBOX 

Sample Greeting This is Sue Jones, Accounting Manager.  I can't take your call right now.  Please leave a message at the tone or press 3 to leave a message in the accounting general mailbox.
How to Set It Up

 

To set your Personal Custom Service to transfer to a specific mailbox

Log into mailbox

Press 3 8 1

Enter a key pad button number from 3 to 9 or 0, for this example enter 3

Press 1

Enter mail box number where caller will be transferred

Press 2 to accept

What will happen When a caller presses 3 during your greeting, he or she will be transferred to THE SPECIFIED MAIL BOX and can leave a message there.

 

TRANSFER TO A SPECIFIC EXTENSION

Sample Greeting This is Sue Jones, Accounting Manager.  I can't take your call right now.  Please leave a message at the tone or press 3 to be transferred to my assistant Pat at extension 115.
How to Set It Up

To set your Personal Custom Service to transfer to a specific extension

Log into mailbox

Press 3 8 1

Enter a key pad button number from 3 to 9 or 0, for this example enter 3

Press 2

Enter mail extension number where caller will be transferred, for this example 115

Press 2 to accept

What will happen When a caller presses 3 during your greeting, he or she will be transferred to the SPECIFIC EXTENSION you entered, in this example, 115.


 

TRANSFER TO AN OUTSIDE TELEPHONE   (MUST BE ALLOWED IN CLASS OF SERVICE)

Sample Greeting This is Tom Smith, Accounting Manager.  I can't take your call right now.  Please leave a message at the tone or press 3 to be transferred to my cell phone.
How to Set It Up

To set your Personal Custom Service to transfer to another telephone number

Log into mailbox

Press 3 8 1 

Enter a key pad button number from 3 to 9 or 0, for this example enter 3

Press 3

Enter 9 and your telephone number (where caller will be transferred) Enter the number as you would normally dial

Press 2 to accept

What will happen When a caller presses 3 during your greeting, he or she will be transferred to the OUTSIDE TELEPHONE NUMBER.

 

TRANSFER TO CUSTOM SERVICE

Sample Greeting This is Tom Smith, Accounting Manager.  I can't take your call right now.  Please leave a message at the tone or press 3 to be transferred back to the main greeting.
How to Set It Up

To set your Personal Custom Service to transfer to a Custom Service Menu

Log into mailbox

Press 3 8 1

Enter a key pad button number from 3 to 9 or 0, for this example enter 3

Press 4

Enter the Custom Service Number (See System Administrator for list)

Press 2 to accept

What will happen When a caller presses 3 during your greeting, he or she will be transferred to a Custom Service Menu such as the main greeting instructions.

 


 

TRANSFER TO VOICE MAIL SERVICE 

Sample Greeting This is Tom Smith, Accounting Manager.  I can't take your call right now.  Please leave a message at the tone or press 3 to be transferred to any other mail box.
How to Set It Up

To set your Personal Custom Service to transfer to Voice mail Service

Log into mailbox

Press 3 8 1

Enter a key pad button number from 3 to 9, for this example enter 3

Press 5

Press 2 to accept

What will happen When a caller presses 3 during your greeting, he or she will be asked to enter another MAILBOX number and will then hear the mailbox greeting.

 

TRANSFER TO CALL TRANSFER SERVICE

Sample Greeting This is Tom Smith, Accounting Manager.  I can't take your call right now.  Please leave a message at the tone or press 3 to be transferred to any other EXTENSION.

To set your Personal Custom Service to transfer to a Voice mail Service

Log into mailbox

Press 3 8 1

Enter a key pad button number from 3 to 9 or 0, for this example enter 3

Press 6

Press 2 to accept

What will happen When a caller presses 3 during your greeting, he or she will be asked to enter another EXTENSION and will then be TRANSFERRED to that extension.
